a beautiful day....

a treasure made as homage to a foxy friend

a spectacular view

the magic of the sea
{I know March has passed, but I NEVER tire of aquamarine. it really IS the exact color of the sea}

trackers at the Palos Verdes Peninsula spotted whales migrating north today
mamas and babies. cow/calf pairs.
right here in this very spot where I took this picture.
I got to look through their high powered binoculars
but I didn't see any whales today

and a productive, pile of gems
{more gems here}

scenes from a morning commute

my daily morning commute from home to jewelry studio is less that 400ft.
coming from someone who used to spend 1.5 hours each way (every day) driving
to her jewelry-industry job, this is an absolute luxury.

these are a few images along the way....

to the sea

prehnite, ocean jaspers, labradorite, aquamarine aquamarine aquamarine... the gems that make my heart skip a beat, find some of them here
nothing ::and I mean NOTHING:: is as good for the heart and soul as a trip to the sea...

heal the bay

at the end of 2010, I worked on a wonderful collaborative project with Buy the Bay, a part of the wonderful ocean preservation group Heal the Bay.

here are the fruits of our labor

(oh my, look at that -- they're almost gone!)

(and a little bit about me)
