trackers at the Palos Verdes Peninsula spotted whales migrating north today
mamas and babies. cow/calf pairs.
right here in this very spot where I took this picture.
I got to look through their high powered binoculars
but I didn't see any whales today

and a productive, pile of gems

an eighteen hour work day.

some days are just like that.
and it's good.
I'd rather have eighteen hour days than zero hour days.
